Densitometer

A device for measuring color that reports its results as a set of density values.

Description

Densitometers measure color by passing light through three filters which are designed for measuring particular color materials. When measuring press prints the filters are specific to the cyan, magenta and yellow inks used in the printing presses. Another common use is for measuring dyes in photographic materials.
